was born on 13th September 1960 in Chennai. He is the son of veteran Tamil actor Muthuraman. He did his B.A. graduation from New College, Chennai. He tied knot to his lover former actress Rahini. They have two sons. This charm and handsome actor entered filmdom through director Bharathiraja. His boyish, innocent role in his Tamil debut film Alaigal Oyivathilai was well acclaimed among the audience. He is known for his peculiar dialogue delivery, romantic looks, and immense humor. He portrayed more lover boy roles in late 80’s. His romantic performances inNinaivellam Nithya, Varusham 16, Agni Natchathiram, etc. are popular among the cine goers. The role he played in Tamil film Mouna Ragam is included in roll of honor of the film and Television Institute of India (Pune) as one of the Best Supporting role in a film. His Tollywood films Magaraydu, Punniyashri, and Chakeravarthy rated him as a talented artiste.
